Bifodan technology awarded by Frost & Sullivan
Frost & Sullivan has awarded ProTarget with its' 2010 Global Probiotics Technology Differentiation Award.

Bifodan expands
November 2009
Bifodan, situated in Hundested, Denmark expands both production capacity and adds more people.
While a lot of companies cut back on their investments due to the slowdown of the economy, Bifodan A/S moves in the opposite direction and is expanding production capacitcy in order to be able to meet the demand from its' customers. An extension is being built in order to provide space for new production equipment for future production of capsules. For a while, we have been running 3 shifts a day, and we have simply reached the limit of production capacity for capsule filling. The market for OTC products and dietary supplements has not been effected too much by the economic slowdown and as our sales of probiotic capsules continues to increase, it was time to increase capacity, says Ulrik Engelsen, Managing Director of Bifodan. The new facility is scheduled to be operational by beginning of 2010 and a brand new capsule filling machine will be installed. Today Bifodan has close to 50 employees and Ulrik Engelsen expects this number to increase next year.
