How does ProTarget™ work?

ProTarget is an enteric matrix that is applied on the surface of capsules or tablets. The process involves several proprietary steps with the careful application of a patent protected coating matrix.The integrity of the coating matrix is pH dependent. The coating will remain intact and protect the capsule or tablet from dissolving at a low pH level similar to that of gastric acids, and thus secure that the capsule or tablet pass safely through the stomach. Upon reaching the intestines, with a pH level of about 6.8, the coating will dissolve and the capsule or tablet disintegrate, whereby a high number of viable probiotics are released and can colonize the intestines.
 

Tests performed by an independent and certified research laboratory show that ProTarget™ dramatically increase probiotic gastric survival and secure complete release of the probiotics at an intestinal pH level.
